Sharing pictures and memories of what Anaheim used to be before Redevelopment Project Alpha and other renovations around the city. Most noticeably the disappearance of Googie inspired signs and motels. Also keeping up with the fate of the remaining buildings/businesses.

When I went there, this place feels eerie. Sort of how like in scary movies, when the people go to the motel and then get wacked by a killer. I took the pictures quickly and bailed. It's so sad how the pool is now a dirt filled, brush filled remembrance of what used to be...very melancholy.

Desert Inn is still standing but looks very different now....
Candy Cane Motel
Disney Hotel. Looks nothing like this anymore. That body of water has been reduced to a tiny little pond that will be gone by the end of this summer.
